Amendments

Key changes and updates to the Flag Code.

2002: The Flag Code of India was consolidated, allowing citizens to fly the flag on their premises.

2005: Amendments permitted the flag on certain garments and accessories in a dignified manner.

2022: Citizens were permitted to fly the flag at home on all days, and polyester/machine-made flags were permitted alongside khadi.
